Solution

Write the number as a‾ b‾ c‾\underline{a}\,\underline{b}\,\underline{c}. It is divisible by 1111 exactly when a−b+ca-b+c is divisible by 1111. Since a+b+c=11a+b+c=11, we have a−b+c=11−2ba-b+c=11-2b, which lies between −7-7 and 1111; it is a multiple of 1111 only if 11−2b=1111-2b=11 (since 11−2b=011-2b=0 is impossible), i.e., b=0b=0. Then a+c=11a+c=11 with 1≤a≤91\le a\le9 and 0≤c≤90\le c\le9, so a∈{2,3,…,9}a\in\{2,3,\dots,9\}. There are 8\boxed{8} such numbers: 209,308,…,902209,308,\dots,902.
